Strategies and Activities of International Organizations

Strategies and Activities of International Organizations We will analyze the upcoming long-term strategies to be formulated by the Global Fund(GF) through the materials related to the GF Board and the literature. We also aim to participate in various meetings, including those of the GF Board. In this way, we can gain insights into the trends of each stakeholder from the comments made by those involved. In addition, we plan to collect information and analyze the trends of relevant international organizations, such as the WHO.

Funding for Global Health

We will track and quantify the flow of aid funds, including the Official Development Assistance (ODA), in order to propose effective and strategic ways of contributing to and cooperating with international organizations and groups in the health sector, particularly those related to the eradication of infectious diseases.

Access & Delivery

We will identify international organizations that should be involved in promoting the international deployment of Japanese products and technologies and find ways on how to engage them. Taking examples of vaccines, in vitro diagnostic equipment, and therapeutic agents for COVID-19 and the three major infectious diseases, we will then map the relationships among major domestic and international stakeholders in each stage of Access & Delivery. These stages include R&D, pre-qualification and country approval, selection and prioritization by international partners and countries, procurement and supply, and the introduction and usage of healthcare products. Then, we will create correlation diagrams and analyze the corresponding roles and achievements of the identified stakeholders.
